Surfer paradise....those words sounds like bliss! That's why we wanted to go and find out what the hype is all about in gold coast. We got up around 9 and we planned to catch a train to gold coast at 9:49 but we missed it by 2 minutes so we waited for next one which was 10.27. It only took a hour train journey to nerang in gold coast to catch a bus to main city of gold coast where they have surfer paradise beach! During on the bus, I saw some interesting facts such as gold coast is right in middle of Byron bay and Brisbane, the gold coast is more like the holiday destination, white sandy beach with theme parks such as sea world and movie world. It is a bit of Florida style in Australia. Once we arrived at the main city with buildings towering over shops, we went straight to surfer paradise beach which was looking really divine and exquisite because the ocean was reflecting the sun, there were some people swimming and it was winter in the Queensland but to me' it certainly felt like a warm day. I took off my flip-flops and stepped in the beautiful warm white sand grained down my feet buried in the deep sand. After masking in the sun and taking photos alongside the long beach, our stomach was rumbling so we decided to satisfy our appetite by having fish and chips as the traditional way of being British :-) afterwards we went to browse around the shops and see what gold coast city is like. It was enjoyable to see some perspective of views on each place I went and compare the differences. We all decided to have a wander around, luckily we saw our favourite ice-cream gelatoissimo Italian chain which is totally delicious! We sat by the beach eating our ice cream just relaxing and chatting. After a while, the sun started to go down and we decided to go back to Brisbane by bus to nerang station and train to Brisbane central. We was a bit hungry so we went to new York pizza store where they sell you a big slice of pizza for only 3 dollars. They had gorgeous garlic bread which is by far the best one I have tasted. With our stomach full, I went on the Internet and chatted with ben and Amy via webcam which was lovely :-) I went to bed once I finished seeing that we need to wake up early tomorrow morning for Steve irwin zoo.
