Got to the domestic airport at 10am from Sydney hostel by subway which only took twenty minutes, at first we all weren't sure whether it should be intentional or domestic airport but we thought it was more likely to be domestic airport seeing it was only around 75 minutes journey on the flight. When we arrived at the airport, we saw that we needed to check in ourselves by using self service machines, Ashley was the first to check in and once he punched in the reference number there was our names on it! So it saved us time from having to do individual check in. The plane was a bit delayed by 30 minutes because the air-conditioning didn't work. Finally we flew off, whilst we were up in air, I was on the window seat by sheer luck of having my name on the ticket with the window seat number, I saw the most precious bird-eye views as I could see the opera house alongside the famous bridge with all these sandy beaches on show, I could have sworn that I saw the summer bay beach, officially called the palm beach where it is on the set of home and away programme. The flight journey was quite speedy in my opinion as I felt it was just 45 minutes duration then suddenly we were landing. As soon as we got off the plane I was pleased to see the weather being a warmer climate with the skies bright blue with a glimpse of clouds. We had to wait for the bags and got a taxi which we worked out would be more cheaper than the air-train to our hostel which was Brisbane embassy. The hostel is situated in the immaculate city, the 6 beds dorm we were put in was better than the previous hostel with the clean sheets lying on the mattress. I took the top bunk for a change and I could see some of the buildings outside through the windows. We all immediately went to the laundry to wash our clothes as i wouldn't dream of washing it in Sydney hostel because the water was dripping. While our lovely clothes was being cleaned, we went to explore Brisbane, there was shops and cafes near to our hostel and I was happy to hear that the main shopping street of queens street was right next street to our hostel. We was hungry so we explored for something to eat and found a backpackers pub with good deals such as $10 dollars for a pint with pizza, I didn't like a pint so I requested a vodka with coke. Afterwards we shopped at Coles to prepare for the week ahead such as planning the food, I wanted cereal as I realised I didn't drink enough of calcium therefore the milk in cereal is healthy for me' to start the day! :-)
