Today we went to the Wellington point to meet our friend, Kirsty Day who emigrated to Australia four years before with her family. Once we arrived at the Wellington point station, she texted to say that she would be a bit late and that it was better to meet at tanja restaurant which was her preference therefore armed with instructions of directions given by her, we arrived at tanja restaurant/cafe which was in a lovely sophisticated suburb. After twenty minutes or so, Kirsty finally arrived. I ordered potatoes wedges and garlic cheesy bread with strawberry milkshake which tasted quite nice concerning the fact I was a bit unsure about ordering it as the milk may taste different but it tasted lovely. We caught up with the news and talked about different things such as how she feels living in Brisbane after being in England all her life but she seems happy :-) the sun was also shining down on us making it more nicer! Kirsty kindly offered us to go to her house to show us around and see what a true Australian home is like. We arrived at her house and I was a bit surprised at the fact her house was really beautiful and big. It was definitely an Australian home with these tiled floors and a swimming pool! We all just chilled out in her back garden and looked around her house. It was sparkling clean, the gardens was neat, I was not surprised at the fact there is a gardener coming in every month and a cleaner every week. It was truly lovely to see her again, we ordered pizzas from dominoes which was cunningly discounted by using coupons from Internet. Kirsty told us to pick out a DVD while she went to get the pizzas, there was a huge collection of DVDs, we were spoiled with choice! We eventually picked three DVDs in shortlist, I admit it was nice to just relax and being in a homely environment simply just eating pizza which was delicious BBQ chicken in my case with pepsi watching a movie. We all loved the movie which was called dejuva, it was quite good with some critical thinking and action filled movie! After the movie finished we chatted and by then it was almost 10.30! We knew the last train was 11.59 but we all weren't going to get back at Brisbane city at 12.59am! Kirsty insisted on taking us back to Wellington point station for us to catch the 10.59 train, during the journey i did some of blogs via my iphone app which i was lucky enough to have seeing that some of us can't do their blogs until they are on Internet. we arrived at Brisbane central station around 11.55pm, we obviously wanted to go bed straight away which I slept beautifully throughout the night after a lovely day :-)
