Breakfast was coco pops and a jam toast! we went to southbank parklands which us a mixture of shops, pubs and a man-made beach. We walked from our hostel passing the bridge along the way and there was pretty view from the bridge towards the city because the sun was shining down on us even though it was the winter in Australia. Kirsty wanted to meet up with us all before she went to work at 6pm. We all lay on the grass and had formed a circle so we all could see each other and chatted! While we were relaxing along with the sun, I was happy to see there was some form of entrainment from some teenagers doing break-dancing and one guy was jumping all over the place using just one hand to withstand his weight! We all walked down along the river and there was a mini festival of wine tasting so I tried a couple of wine samples such as Chardonnay wine. I didn't like Chardonnay as it was too strong for me' but I loved one wine sample which was pink wine called mosaco, I forgot the name of it but it tasted so sweet, I even could taste the grapes and I liked it so much like the rest of us, we all bought a bottle for 20 dollars! We went to nandos for our lunch which was not too expensive, about 14 dollars each for a grilled chicken burger with chips and a drink. Once we got out of nandos, I was pleased to see the ben and jerry ice cream van giving away a free tub of vanilla ice cream! Predictably I got one so did Ashley and Kirsty! The rest of group didn't want some, are they either mad or merely doesn't have a life ;-) haha! I took a couple of lovely photos with the blue skies on display alongside the river. It was time for Kirsty to go back home so we all went to hang around the southland parklands and I sat by the beach overlooking the city, it was a funny feeling because I felt like I was in a rural place on one end of the bridge with another end of bridge holding the city lifestyle with these building towers rising above the park. While we were walking back to the hostel, I could not help myself to have a glimpse of the shops and fortunately for myself I bought a gorgeous top that looks like a very short dress which I won't dare to wear it as a one piece! :-) it was only 25 dollars which is a reasonable price for the quality of the top. I was a bit disappointed to see that the shops was closing up but on the bright side, it stops me' from spending more money! The lads told me' I was supposed to be on budget however I told them that they spent 60 dollars on beers the night before and they have actually wasted it on toxic liquids, and they said "uh...yeah we are lads and what you girls expect!?"we all laughed so loud some people looked at us! :-P
