So I'm sat on the Baz Bus on route to Coffey Bay and thought you were all due an update...if I can remember any of it!!
Stormsriver: Many amazing memories starting with the night we cooked our first PROPER meal :-) ok so bangers and mash with onion gravy does count when you've been living off beans on toast!! The tent on stilts was awesome even had a little lamp which to a girl means a plug which means a hair dryer and ghds the next morning!! VIP camping or what!!
The weather the next day was a bit grim but we headed off for a small hike, had lunch and went back to the hostel to wait for the baz bus to take us to Jeffreys Bay.In the meantime it was a few long games of pool, a few too many savannahs and ended up a tad tipsy :-) not good news for the poor sods who had to share the bus with us!! I had to ask mr bus driver to stop so I could pee...I didn't mean on a busy highway with no bushes!! But if you've gotta go you've gotta go! I feel sorry for the poor sods driving past me with head lights on and the guys on the bus who had to all look the other way! note to self..don't get drunk when you've got to catch the bus!
Jeffreys Bay: was all about 'The' quiz machine! R5 lasts forever (50p to us English!) never have you seen three people be so excited about how long the money was lasting...in fact it lasted all night and we were amazed! It wasn't until the next day that the barman told us it was actual free...oh...that would explain it...well that was Jeffreys Bay apart from a bit of shopping :-) oh and squeaky-the high pitched Canadian girl eek :-/ !!
East London via Port Elizabeth: with squeaky in tow!! Just our luck!! So Port Elizabeth was just somewhere we slept, arrived at 10pm and were due to be picked up at 8am or at least that's what me and vic thought....wrong!! Somehow we just got our times wrong and the baz bus arrived at 7am and we were still I'm bed!! So we held the bus up slightly :-/ the worst of it was the guys that were on when I was drunk and had to pee on the way to Jeffreys Bay were also on this bus- they must hate me!! Haha never mind! So East London was just a one night stay in our own little hut :-) at a place called Sugar Shack, it was really cute! Not much to do, there's the beach but it was quite cold so we took a walk, bought sone wine, cooked tea and chilled out for the rest of the day/night. I was having an awesome sleep until the commotion outside woke me up, it was squeaky snogging another girls boyfriend and they got caught, she was a classy girl! By this point I was ready to head into the mountains and up to Hogsback.
Hogsback: is really cute!! We headed up to Hogsback by car which took about 2hours so arrived late afternoon. It was so cold but the bar and lounge areas all had open log fires so it was really cosy! At 4pm we met Paul the bar guy who gave us free shots-big mistake! After numerous games of a******* and jenga and a fair few shots and ciders later I was hammered, ate pizza kind of remember the locals doing topless 2am (wasn't quite up for this one!) and stumbled back to our dorm....woke up feeling like death!!!! Damn the free shooters!!!
Spent the morning drinking full fat coke and eating crap then headed off horseriding through the forest in the afternoon.I think the ride did me good, started to feel a little bit more human, and the views were amazing! After the ride we headed back to the hostel for a quiet night and another game of a*******! Even got the bar staff involved!!
Next stop chintsa :-) x
