Our last day in Palm Springs so we headed up to the Palm spring aerial tramway which was amazing! We drove the RV to the base of the mountain then you get the cable car to the top which is 8500ft the car rotates 360’c whilst ascending the mountain, it was 40’c on the desert floor and 20’c at the top! The Palm Springs tramway is the largest rotating aerial tramway in the world. It was opened in 1963 as a way of getting from the floor of the Coachella Valley to relatively near the top of San Jacinto Peak Before its construction, the only way to the top of the mountain was to hike a number of hours. The National Park at the top was amazing with a separate climate and lots of wildlife! The views were breathtaking! You could see for miles! I was more nervous on the way down but it was amazing! We then drove to San Diego for our next stop! We had booked an RV spot in Chula Vista on the marina, it was lovely had a great pool & jacuzzi with amazing views of the marina & the San Diego Bay Area! We were only 8 miles from the Mexico border & Tiguana which seemed bizarre... we loved the RV Park it had everything we wanted...
