We had an early pick up from the hotel so we just had a quick coffee then waited for our tour rep in reception the coach journey was just over an hour up the coast away from the city. The weather was much brighter & as we drove further north the beaches were more & more like paradise! Our first stop was at a beautiful place called Praia do Forte. Praia do Forte has been nicknamed the Brazilian Polynesia. We visited the endangered sea turtles at Projeto Tamar, a sea turtle conservation project. What began as a small scale project in the 80s has turned into an amazing team effort across Brazil to save this endangered species & they show you the lengths they are going to protecting the sea turtles on the Brazilian coast. The project was only small but really informative & you got to see the turtles being fed & various other marine life it was a really cute little set up! We had a few hours to look around the sanctuary & the tourist village before moving onto Praia de Guarajuba for a swim & lunch on the beach! It was amazing we were Surrounded by palm coconut trees & white sand. We jumped into the sea & had fun enjoying the beach which after the last few days in the city it felt great to have an afternoon in the sea! We didn’t get back to the hotel until later it was a pretty long day but we loved it! We ate in the hotel restaurant & packed our rucksacks ready to fly back to Europe tomorrow! Eek! It’s nearly home time!
