We haven't done a blog in a while so thought I'd update you all on our time in Wanaka...
It has mostly been spent boarding/ job and house hunting so we haven't seen much of the area yet, but hopefully we will have a lot of time here to explore.
Samuel has found the job of his dreams... Working in a vineyard. I think the fact that there are a lot of boys toys for him to play with helps! I am still looking for a job but I'm yet to hear back from a couple so fingers crossed.
We now own a car which is even older than my Vauxhall Corsa, but seems to be doing the job so far. We are both however still getting used to driving an automatic!!
We were very lucky to have Millie, Charlie, Brad and Shaw as incredible hosts for our first week and a half here. They also introduced us to our first few nights out in Wanaka which didn't disappoint.
We didn't want to leave their lovely home but gathered we probably couldn't sleep in their living room forever. Luckily the room we are now renting is 2 minutes from them so we can still easily go and pester them!
We have found beautiful house to live in... Saying that, all the houses here are pretty beautiful!! And the whole of Wanaka has the most incredible backdrop of snowy mountains. I will upload some pictures of the house so you can see where we shall be living for the next few months :)
That's about all for the moment but I'm sure you can tell we are absolutely loving it here. x
