We are very happy to say that our first woofing experience has been great so far. However I never thought I'd see the day that we were left in charge of demolishing a stranger's house! It's actually quite therapeutic though! In return we have been given a pretty cool caravan to stay in for the week, along with being served some gourmet food. It's all in a pretty sweet setting too and the people are great... So certainly no complaints!
Yesterday we really found out what a cool area we are in. Luckily we know the right people and our friend Matt hooked us up with some free kayaks to go explore. Due to the fact he is going to be a kayaking guide here, he took us and Caroline to some beautiful spots including split Apple bay and Kaiteriteri beach. We have been to a few beaches in NZ but none like these. It definitely felt like we could have been in Thailand!
During our mission we stumbled across a black flipper sticking out the water. Much to the boys amusement me and Caroline thought it was a flipper on the foot of a human... It was actually the flipper of a seal just hanging out in the water!
We paddled back into shore just as the sun was starting to go down which made for a beautiful sky! Our night was ended with a lovely meal cooked by Caroline :)
Once we finished our demolition this morning we went into town to look into organising a 4 day walk of the Abel Tasman, which is a popular coastal walk. We managed to get tent sites booked along the way and a boat to bring us back so we are all set to go on Monday!
