Well today we went to the barrier reef to have a little look and this is what you get to see a little heart shaped reef which is just so the best thing ever i reckon.
We docked in Airlee which is where all the tours go for the reef whether by air or by boat its the place to be. To be honest with you its a backpackers haven for everything you need to do at the reef and quite cheap too infact.
Anyway headed into Airlee lagoon for a swim which was fab as it was boiling hot, the town itself is very quirky and quaint, none of these big stores but a little craft market and a few pubs and shops.
You have to use the lagoon because all the beaches are closed as its stinger season at the moment and they hurt if you get stung by them.
Anyway i would recommend a trip here for sure in a lifetime as its totally amazing.
