Well have had a extremely hectic day in Surfers Paradise and what a place it is. Went on a 2 hour canal trip behind surfers paradise beach to see where all the rich and famous roam (photos to follow soon). The houses are totally amazing and blow the socks of miami and places like that. The ride itself was a little long but very relaxing. Loads of birds about, the odd speed boater and kayaker but all in all it was very relaxing.
Next stop was Surfers Paradise beach and boy this place is amazing. It runs for about 52km of the east coast of oz and the surf was building very nicely and also getting very busy with the loacals and the tourists who were rubbish at standing up and kept getting wiped out. Any need for them to try and learn here where the pros come and take it a little more seriously.
If you like shopping then it has everything that you may need from souvenir shops, surf wear and then designer central. Something for everyone. Beer and food is quite expensive so not too sure how students afford to come here but they do.
I saw a surfboard to buy but i am holding out for hawaii as this is the one souvenir that i really want from there.
I recommend the east coast of oz for everyone its been amazing, next stop sydney.
