Went to Port Stanley today and headed to Gypsy Cove to see the penguins. It was only a small colony but all the same we saw two king penguins and some Magellan Penguins too. We managed to get quite close to them as the mothers had left their chicks in small burrows on the hillside whilst they were down on the beach. Headed into Port Stanley Town which is tiny but has a great supermarket for all those English foods that you miss whilst you are away, so stocked up as still have quite some time left onboard here. There are still quite alot of minefields left here so you cant actually just walk off around the countryside on your own. Off the road vehicles take you around for your own safety.
