Bloody church bells in Hontanas last night - on the hour and half hour - dong, dong, dong dong, dong, dong dong dong .....but 2 eggs for breakfast and I am away. My challenge is no major roads for 70 kms so I must walk or pay for taxi so we plan on 10kms/day for the next 7 days - not easy for Jeff as the blokes walk 20-30kms and measure against each other. Interesting forces working - after initial 10 kms even I thought I can walk another 10kms but as endorphins receded and a cold wind blew as I struggled up a hill with others striding past me we decided to stay in Castrojeriz as planned - plenty of character here - see old castle on top of hill and Monastery in foreground.
