16 people and no snorers - only 3 Native English speakers (incl one strong Irish so have to concentrate), 1 Afrikaans, 3 Asian, 1 Danish, 4 Germans, and several Italians.
Have to emphasise how magnificent these towns are -Viana built 13-15th C, huge church in the centre, up on a hillhfortified by walls with Archway Portals to the cities. Life must have been tough 13-15c fighting off the invaders!
Walked 10.5kms today to Logrono, strode out with Jeff but trickled down to a trudge as no real break. Pretty cold wind - snow on the distant mountains. Lunch in the Plaza de Mercado then Jeff off for 12kms and I caught the bus again - NZ$2!
In Rioja wine territory ✌️This church is maravilloso!
