Day 19 Off exploring
Hmm - another snivelling day which I survived. No buses- so I'm walking! First challenge is a steep hill -9kms over to Ermita San Nicolas (Spartan stone bldg worth looking around) - Jeff keen so we left early - no Cafes open - off we strode into the frosty air. Well by the time we got to the top (damp fog) I was russling round for old bits of cheese and ham, too cold to rest for long - disappointed Ermita San Nicolas was closed - by the time we got to Itero de la Vega (11 kms) I was quietly snivelling into my boots, dragging along the last straight. Then Jeff mentioned we didn't walk far yesterday - F**** just give me some food and a rest.
A ha -sausage eggs and chips! - sleep in the sun and we were off again - walking together restricted to my distances is not going to be easy - Jeff trying hard to be my buddy but difficult - our walking styles and energy levels so different.
