Day 41
Gentle 5 km walk this morning then omelette and taxi - worth mentioning the Celtic look, stone houses and barns (cows inside) and damp green rolling fields with stone walls - dense areas of various trees make it a pretty landscape. Very similar to parts of England and Wales, with names like Mercadoiro, Leboreiro, Sancibrao there is a big Celtic impact here - maybe the Galicia area was too poor/hard to get to for the Romans to overrun the Gauls so many of the names live on.
But disappointed- we picked an Albergue because it was recommended 'interesting, warm friendly, accommodating, or to be missed' but hospitalero is quite abrupt - and we are really reliant on a bit of human warmth. Didn't really talk to anyone interesting on the track today - and horrors, the German in the next bunk snored - snort, hiccup, snort (like a pig :) - this afternoon so not much hope for tonight.
Think we know the finish line is in sight so we are letting our tiredness take over.
Look what I found in the toilet!
