I have just finished packing. Took a little longer than planned because my bottle of laundry liquid exploded in my pannier box. Smells nice now. Did a few things that had been niggling me today. First stop was get new tires on the bike. This is a huge weight off my mind. The engine could blow up but the consequences of having balding tires can be far worse. Dunlop tires with a pattern suited to road and unsealed road alike. 260€. Next stop was a motorcycle shop that sold spark plugs. Two new plugs and the bike still has a rough time starting and falters at low revs when cold. I really think the carby needs a good clean out. Still safe just have to ride at high revs. No problem. After spending the morning playing with the bike, I set off on foot to explore more of the city center and look at the Grenada cathedral. I'm a bit "churched out" but it was well worth a look and very impressive all the same. Hunger got the better of me after my busy day and I went in search of food. Had a big feed of calamari and salad took in some more sights and waddled on back to the hotel to book a place for tomorrow night. Tomorrow I'm staying in a convent. Probably not the most ideal choice of sleeping arrangements for someone who has seen enough of churches. There was a chance I could have been headed to Botswana for work after this but the job all fell in a heap today and I'm kind of bummed out about it. Oh well. Seville here I come.
