Finally. On the road. Headed out of Bochum early this morning for Bruges. The ride was without event. The bike does not like going faster than 135 with the pack weight on the back. Arrived in this place at 11am and found the hostel without a problem thanks to the Tom Tom. Time for a walk. Amazing place. Sitting at a cafe on the main town square having a coffee. It is taking everything I have not to drink some of the local beer. By all reports it's very good. The weather is not perfect but it did not rain on me whilst riding. That's a plus. Bikes are the go in this town...as are tour groups. Poor b******s. I have another hour before I consider heading back to the hostel and their cosy little pub. Am sharing a room with strangers tonight so I hope they brought their ear plugs. Beer+a bit of a sniffle=chainsaw.
