A big day again yesterday. Got Sara on her way then got on the bike. Went via Bosnia after a 40€ tear for insurance because I did not have the original paperwork. After that everything was really good. The road follows along the Montenegro border with gorges and lush Forrest for most of the way. Crossed the border to Serbia without incident and made my way through more of the same. A lot of cows on the road. This is the time of year they make the hay and in most paddocks you will see people with scythes cutting the grass and stacking it against a pole to dry. The effect is lots if little hay mounds dotted all over the hillside. The effects of the conflict in the early 90s are visible everywhere. Bullet pocked buildings and shrapnel spayed houses, through to 3 story murals if Milosovic. There was also a park that had "Tito" done Hollywood style on the side of the hill? Eventually I made it to Belgrade. Got a bit lost in the center, roadworks were going on and chaos reigned as man and machine jostled for a way home. It took me an hour to get to the hotel. Was a little wrecked when I got there. Belgrade is cool. A mix of classic buildings from prior to the communist era side by side with communist tenement unit blocks, bombed shells of buildings and hastily erected replacements. All of this is nearly impossible to navigate by road. Luckily motorcycles can jump curbs and ride down sidewalks. Finished the day out with a wander through town, a few drinks and the best chicken kebab ever.
