Ross and Nina Uncut
We finally made it all the way up to Cairns where the weather is absolutely georgous (around 28 degrees) considering its the middle of winter. We spent about a week here lazing around and enjoying the sunshine again before we head back south to the colder climates!
Cairns is a pretty small place but its really nice to wander round and there are lots of nice little crafty shops and things to see! We visited Cairns art gallery which had a lot of nice aboriginal art as well as some other interesting pieces.
We also had a couple of nights out while we were here to say goodbye to the people that we've been travelling up the coast with and some others that we'd met on the way. We've arranged to met up with a few of them in New Zealand though so won't really be long til we see them again.
Ofcourse we couldn't come all the way up to Cairns without taking a trip to the outer areas of the Great Barrier Reef. We went on a days snorkling trip and saw loads of cool coral and sea life! We both really like the huge sea turtles and Ross has decided that he wants a big tropical fish tank when he gets home!
