Hi all,
After 6 days of hardcore drinking for 12hrs a day, we finally decided to move on from Vang Vieng, Laos. We booked ourself a Super VIP bus, which means larger reclining seats so its easier to sleep and slightly more comfortable. We left at 2pm heading for Bangkok, and all in all it took us 18hrs. Bradley couldn't sleep at all, due to a fat chinese man taking up his personal space. Whereas Ross got a good 5hrs.
We arrived in Bangkok early morning and set off to find a hotel/hostel. After and hour and a half of searching we found a diamond of hotel right on Khoasan Rd (Central location). We are paying 8quid a night each and the rooms are lovely, and we've even got a refreshing swimming pool on the roof. Its been around 30 degrees in Bangkok so both of us havent really moved from pool.......too nice!
We are going to see some Temples around the city tomorrow which is going to be awsome.
Brads is still struggling to adjust with the food and drink situation, but Ross is trooping on like a solider.
We off down Khoasan Rd now, because we just bumped into 3 lads we got to know in Laos and we're going for a few drinks with them before they fly home to Australia.
Speak in a couple of days
:) x

Nan & John Sounds as though you have a good hotel, price good to. Your meeting with the Australian boys will be of a help when you go there? will you meet up with them or are they the other side of Australia? such a large country, when Grandad & I went, the plane journey home took us 6 hours just to fly across Australia before the rest of the long flight home (24 hrs total flight time) I expect its a lot quicker now, those old steam flights in those days lol. Love reading your blogs boys keep it up, Missing you xxx
mum Hi boys ...sounds all good to me , I dont think I would leave the pool either in 30 degrees of heat , surre Brad will get used to the food in time for Austrailia , when it reverts back to fairly English ...lolCant wait to see more photos. big hugs xxxxxxxxxx
