Tuesday 6th June
It is twelve days into our trip and here we are at Port Lincoln at the bottom corner of the Eyre Peninsula. The caravan park we are in overlooks the bay and is on a hill, so each caravan site is pretty much cut out of the hillside, which gives most vans a good view of the water, nothing much happening here though. The occasional trawler coming back from fishing and the odd small fishing boat going out to throw a net in, the lone, but very contented looking, man sitting on the end of the jetty with his line dangling into the water to hopefully entice a fish to latch on. It is so very quiet and very peaceful, except for the birds who talk to each other non stop. We walked along a path which went for miles. We walked for fifteen minutes, turned around and came back. We booked for two days, but the mundane aspects of life have caught up and some washing must be done, or else!!!. Therefore another two days camped in this lovely spot will be most welcome even if it does include washing. Chinese for tea tonight which will be very nice.
Wednesday 7th June
Washing today and shopping for a warm cardigan. Once again I have left some of my clothes behind that I could swear I put in the van. Anyway they are not here so I have to make do. It's okay though, plenty of summer stuff, just not much in the way of winter clothes. I managed to pick up some cheap trackie pants and top from K mart and a nice warm cardigan so that will do me. Jeep service tomorrow. we have to while away a couple of hours in town, not too sure what we will do with ourselves. Sure to be bakery or coffee shop and I think I saw a Target.
We leave here on Saturday
