We left Halls Gap today. Because of the really cold and awful weather we spent a lot of time indoors instead of sight-seeing. Ross commented on this but said he had a really relaxing time. We watched movies, TV series and of course football. and we stayed in bed as long as we liked.. I finished a book by James Patterson I loved it. If you have watched the series called Instinct on the TV then this book is the one that started it all off. It is called Murder Games.
We are staying in a free camp tonight between Kaniva and Bordertown. We noticed a small golf course at the back of the rest area and went for a walk to have a look. As we were walking a car came along with two dogs running alongside. He stopped and said good day and said that if we wanted we could park the caravan in the car park of the club, as he was the captain, as this meant we were further away from the highway noise we took him up on his offer. So here we are in a lovely spot overlooking the Serviceton Golf Course. Ross had a few practice shots. Tomorrow we leave Victoria and enter South Australia so we need to make sure we have no fruit or vegies. Through the night I was nearly asleep when Ross says I can hear car doors. As we were all alone and it was pitch black outside, we were a bit iffy about the visitors. We waited and watched and eventually they settled down in their cars. In the morning they were gone. We are now at Murray Bridge in a caravan park overlooking the Murray. Murray Bridge is a big city with lots of traffic, but where we are is nice and quiet. We will only stay here the night and take off again tomorrow to get to the west of South Australia and hopefully leave suburbia behind.
