After stopping for lunch Baxter Springs Subway we carried on our adventure. We left Kansas and ventured into Oklahoma. Driving through Miami, (not Miami, Florida - we didn't get THAT lost!) we found a stretch of Route 66 that we're not sure was really suitable for cars! It was the original road from 1926 from Miami to Afton called the Ribbon Road. The road was pretty much corrugated and the Mustang's sport suspension didn't like it much.
We passed through Vinita and Chelsea and then proceeded to get lost again. We picked the route up again just before Catoosa and saw the blue whale. We then powered on through Tulsa, Kellyville, Bristow and found that there's a Stroud in Oklahoma. We motored on through Warwick, Arcadia, Edmond and on to Oklahoma City to find our stop for the night.
Oklahoma City to Amarillo tomorrow. Wish us luck.
