Today was so much better. We slept for about 12hrs and both felt so much better for it. I had cold pizza for breakfast and then we got a taxi back to the rental company for the second attempt at getting our car. A slightly vital part of this trip!

The taxi driver was lovely. He was very chatty, telling us all about Chicago and America. He had a crazy 7 month old chihuahua as a co driver. Apparently this chihuahua comes to work with him every day, gets fussed by all his passengers, has salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and is generally very spoilt! He was going to get him some chicken for dinner after he had dropped us at the airport.

We got to the airport, shuttle bussed over to the rental company and saw our mustang was still there. Result! This time was much more straight forward. The card was accepted first time, everything checked out and we finally had our car! It was 33C so naturally we had the roof down.

Andy drove back to the hotel following the sat nav all the way. We got the car back no problems and he finally started to relax and enjoy himself.

We walked up to best buy so I could buy a camera. We did some sight seeing on the way. The buildings in Chicago are absolutely phenomenal. Trying to cross the road is an experience though. You take your life in your hands a bit!

When we got back to the hotel we had tea there. I had a cheeseburger and fries and Andy had a salmon BLT burger and fries. The food here is amazing!

We've ordered breakfast in bed for tomorrow morning. The travelling begins tomorrow!
