Day 27: First the good news, Gareth has kind of managed to fix the van. After a total of about 3hrs of playing in the dirt under Buddy, and in the fuses we now have working indicators and dashboard gauges, just no reversing lights. Hopefully this will let us get back to Brisbane.

Due to the breakdown we were still some way short of the waterfall way when we set off.

First stop was Armidale for supplies. A pretty little town with a good range of shops we were able to get food and the bits Gareth wanted to fix the bits he had broken on Buddy whilst trying to fix him.

Onwards to the waterfall way, we stopped briefly at Bakers Creek falls, but this was just a photo stop. Next we stopped for the day at Woollomombi Falls. This is the highest falls in Australia, and are very impressive.

Our campsite was deserted but for us, perfect way to spend our second to last night. We did get a bit of a fright from two fighting possums who made strange growling noises but then seemed more interested in what we were up to than chasing each other up trees! The weather held out and another lovely star gazing evening.
