Day 28: This morning we carried on along the waterfall way. The journey took us through rolling green fields which reminded us of home, little wonder that this is known as New England.
Our first stop was Ebor Falls which has an upper and lower fall, both of which were impressive. A short stroll took us from viewing point to viewing point. Just a photo stop so quickly on our way again.
Second stop was Dangar Falls just outside Dorrigo. A smaller fall, but we viewed it from quite close and the sun cast a beautiful rainbow in the spray. As we left a double buddy parked next to us, making us chuckle as we drove away - wonder if their indicators work??
Next on to the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre. A pit stop in the cafe for tea and scone and we were ready for a walk. The track was called the Wonga Way and took us to the Tristiana and Crystal Shower falls. Small compared to some, but nicer when you have made the effort to walk closer to these falls and the Gondwana rainforest is best seen at ground level.
Next onwards to Bellingen for lunch at the Black Bear Cafe and to stock up with food for tonight.
After lunch it was time for some miles (or kms as we're metric here). We soon reached Grafton and Maclean which we drove through when heading south nearly 4weeks ago.
Tonight we're camping by the riverside at Iluka, the mouth of the Clarence River. As it's our last night we're enjoying a glass of fine wine and reminiscing about our roadtrip.
