Day 6: following heavy rain overnight we decided to stay in bed rather than watch the sunrise. Perhaps a little lazy but a full day of exploring has made up for it.
Started with some time on the beach before breakfast. Caroline running, and Gareth breaking out the snorkeling gear to look for fish. Some shoal of bright blue fish disturbed near the shore it was too cold to venture too far out. A group of dolphins arrived a little way offshore so we watched them for a while before getting breakfast back at our camp.
We then headed into the small town of Huskisson (known as Husky to the locals). Inspired by our earlier dolphin spotting we jumped onto a Jervis Bay dolphin watch cruise. 2 hrs of sailing round the bay gave us the chance to see round the area, and we got closer to some dolphins with a pod of 5-6 getting within a few meters of our boat. Awesome stuff.
Leaving Husky with a cup of Lamborghini Coffee we carried on south stopping next at Ulladulla to make our sandwiches for lunch overlooking the harbour.
Onwards south and sticking to the Princes Highway before heading on the coastal road through the small towns of Narooma and Bermaguu. Finally we pulled in to camp late afternoon at Mimosa Rocks. Another stunning beachside location, and we're the only people on site!
Dinner was interrupted by the start of a shower, and we spent the rest of the evening sheltering in Buddy.
Tomorrow we head into Victoria!
