Our afternoon yesterday started with lunch at the school again and pick-up game of basketball. We then all piled into our buses and went off to Old San Juan. Our first stop was the PR seat of government where we got a short tour. Then it was off to Castillo Felipe del Morro. It was one of the main fortifications that protected San Juan and really old. It was very impressive and offered great views of the ocean.
After a tour of El Morro, we had some free time in Old San Juan. A number of us walked around. We ended up back in the area with all the cats. The boys thought they were interesting. We ate dinner at a sandwich place, walked some more and headed back to the hotel. The evening was spent swimming in the ocean and the pool. The night ended with what is becoming a nightly ritual... Starbucks!
I am writing this on the bus this morning as we are on our way to the island of Vieques where we will spend the day.
