Yesterday was another early start (but not as early as Wednesday). We all got up at 6:30 and went down to breakfast. The kids went off to school and I had 3 hours to myself. I went for run along the coast to the fort that protected San Juan called El Morro. My favorite part of the run was stopping and walking through the beautiful Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis cemetery. I created a photo album of some of my photos.
The kids spent the morning at Colego Espiritu Santo. It is their summer camp so it is pretty low key. I think they did Zumba, made crafts, and played.
I (and all the other non-Spanish speaking parents) met up with kids at the schools and had lunch (rice and beans with some meat). After lunch many of us played basketball or volleyball on the school's playground.
The afternoon was spent at the Children's Museum in the suburb of Carolina. A fun museum for the kids. I think they liked getting out of the heat.
We ended the day back at the hotel where we ate and kids spent the rest of the night swimming in the pool and the ocean.
This morning was similar to yesterday as he kids went back to the school. I went for a run through Old San Juan. I ended up at far end of town where I saw lots of cats. Everywhere I looked there were cats! For all you cat lovers, I will post an album. I am writing this in the hotel's tropical garden with peacocks and other assorted birds making noise around me. I definitely feel like I am in the tropics! This afternoon we meet up with the kids at the school, eat lunch, and head to Old San Juan as a group. Everybody seems to be getting along and sleeping OK (so far).
