Today was the day of Zion National Park. This place is really similar to Yosemite except it has had too many iron tablets.  The rocks all have a tinge of red instead of the white of Yosemite. Up and at it again. This time we drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. When we got there it was threatening to rain and had a 50% of lightening which would mean we couldn't walk. After using the convenience of Walmart Bridgette and I went to an all you can eat Pizza Hut. Not as good as home. No chips and all the pizza were practically just cheese. Got on the road heading south. Left Wyoming and entered Utah. The scenery has changed drastically. It has gone from the green trees of Teton to hostile barron dry red land with only small shrubs growing. Lots of signs talking about fossils and the dinosaurs the use to live in the area. Got up and said goodbye to our San Diego neighbours. And left for a long road trip at 8am.  Finally brought our season vehicle pass for the national parks. It only cost $80 which is a bloody bargain!!!! Travelled on the Tiago road, beautiful scenery.  At the top it , 9000 feet, it started snowing on us. Along the way we seen them tarsealing the road.
