One word DISNEYLAND. My ultimate childhood dream, the place mum promised she would take us if we ever won lotto. And now I know why. We got there right on opening time. Sooooooo many awesome rides, the haunted house, slash mountain with the log ride, the pirates of the Caribbean ride, Indiana Jones, Space mountain with the roller coaster, Star wars with the 3D stimulation. and that's just naming some of them. Splash mountain was bloody brilliant. Classic knowing what is coming up but still freaking out. We got so wet, great ride. We had a traditional American lunch of chicken chips and these cookie and ice cream dessert. Got to buy a cute Minnie and Micky Mouse. Bridgette even got a goofy.
Visited Micky and Goofy in Toon town before we headed over to California adventure park for more rides. We went straight to the roller coaster because it was Erin must do! Got there and it was broken. They gave us three jump the ques tickets. Went to toy story shooting game, before running back and using our fast pass to do splash mountain again. Had a American hotdog for dinner. Returned to a adventure park to see the frozen section, go on the creepy hotel ride, the cars ride and then finally the roller coaster called the screamer. Get there and it's closed for the parks ending show starting in 15 minutes. Absolutely distraught, just about all crying. They were turning everyone away. A couple of Americans ask to see the manager, we decided to tag along. Some how it works, we get on the last cart of the day. And what a brilliant ride to end on. The American guys then gave us free tickets the the ending show called the world of colour. We weren't even that keen to go, thought we might get a couple more rides in. SO glad we went. Such an amazing displayed. I was full of feel good music and really topped off the day.
Returned to our shuttle outside Disneyland and while waiting a lady at the bus stop starting yelling. She was really worked up. We were all white and she was angry about the discrimination against African Americans. A bit scary especially when the van couldn't fit us all and was going to leave us. We convinced the van driver to squeeze the last 5 of us in. Back at the motel we went for a swim and spa while watching the practise fireworks for disneyland 60th this weekend.
