Our final stop in Canada and North America. Stayed at a hostel that was definitely a mental hospital in its previous life. Very creepy and so noisy. No sleep for three nights straight. But Vancouver itself was wonderful.
We hired bikes and went right around Stanley Park. Much to amusement of many onlookers when Bridgette and Erin fell off the tandem bike multiple times. We ground out the grouse grind which is a hill that doesn't even give you a view. Apparently people do it once a week which sounds crazy. We visited the grizzly bears, watched a lumbar jack show and went to look at a steam power clock that weighs 2 tonnes in the old part of town.
In Vancouver I tried wings for the first and last time. So much hype around them I expected something amazing. But alas mums chicken nibbles are so much better. All they were, were over priced, over flavored chicken nibbles. Luckily the food situation was saved by the best sushi I have ever had at the eatery. And of course a few more donuts at Tim Houghtons.
Time to say bye to the Americas, and hello to UK and Europe. Very excited more a change of scenery and to meet up with some friends and family.
