Colleen & Tom's Explorations
So ..... This morning I remembered to take my phone to Brekky so I could photograph our lovely setting. After Brekky we returned to our unit where we booked ourselves on an inlet cruise this afternoon, relaxed, rested, napped and read till lunch. We thought we'd go to the Mexican for lunch, but it's closed till 3pm - so we'll go there for dinner tomorrow night. We then continued down to The Tin Shed for lunch where I was allowed to have oysters before the fisherman's basket - most of my favorite seafood!! Tom loved his steak burger with 3 fillets of steak on it. After our wonderful lunch we returned to our hotel suite for more relaxation till it was time to go down to the marina for our inlet cruise. Our cruise on the Lady Douglas was very good - interesting, informative, and we saw a croc!!! They'd had a croc which used to come out and sunbathe on the golf course but the course got a new manager who freaked and complained to NPWS - they had to set a trap for him and now he's gone. We were amazed at the number of partially submerged craft in the inlet - at least 4 just lying there. Sad. One of the ladies on the cruise recognized me from Hibiscus and started chatting - she is a twin who has twins and twin grandchildren (who are 25). Sadly her twin has Alzheimer's and no longer recognizes her. Really nice lady. After our inlet cruise, which went out to the mouth of the inlet, we retuned to our hotel, went for a beautiful swim in the pool as the bats squabbled overhead before eating finger food with sparkly for dinner.
