Colleen & Tom's Explorations
So today we found breakfast on the other half of the resort - "only" continental but I ate more than I do at home - sultana bran, yoghurt, fruit (fresh rockmelon and pineapple still in their skin were my choice), a little chocolate-chip mini muffin and a latte! Awesome. By the other pool. Doubly awesome. Tomorrow I'll take my phone with me and get some pics for you. When we returned to our suite we got out our new washing bag and did our washing - yesterday's clothes needed a good scrubbing! By the time Tom finished his our bathroom was filled with dripping clothes, right in front of the suite's aircon! I took my iPad and iPhone to the receptionist lady who was able to sort out my iPad's reluctance to connect to the wifi, so there should be no more problems there. We then lounged in our unit and read until we felt it was time for lunch, so we went off to the Central Hotel (local's pub), built in 1878, and had lunch. Tom chose a hamburger, while I had a chicken breast stuffed with tangy avocado mix, served with a creamy garlic sauce and mash and veggies. Very nice indeed, and probs half the price we paid at the Ironbar Steakhouse. My man just isn't into fine dining, and being of Scottish descent, he doesn't like the prices of fine dining either. So I lust after the Moreton Bay Bugs, scallops and such. After lunch we shopped for a few cheeses and such, and drinks to accompany, for the next few nights. This afternoon we did more lounging, napping and reading. The receptionist lady dropped by with a container of strawberries for us, as part of our welcome package. After our dinner of nibblies we watched telly and read. Such a hard life!
