Hello! Been in Cairns now for about 2 weeks, im determined to leave with a nice amount of money.....

....its my birthday tomorrow!! woohoo...that was kind of sarcastic. Suppose to be going for a bbq near the lagoon with a few people ive met in the hostel, then out for a few drinks Sand and alex are both working so im not sure yet. Cant be a late one either, as i have to be up at 7am to start work at 7:30am. I now wash cars at a car rental place, just for 1 week though; but hopefully they will give me more work! Fingers crossed! Before this i was a kitchen hand, just worked there for 2 weeks...gave me well needed $ though. They were very busy because of the navy boys!! coming to town! 4000 of them! So the place was swamped with american's hooting and hollering! Chanting USA USA everywhere they went! I didnt mind too much though...they had strippers in for that week so they every so often came into the kitchen for a chat. :)

Last night, i went out for a drink and a walk with two yes two estonian girls, who are staying in my room. Was better than staying in watching the ashes anyway! Sandy, alex and helga went on a day trip to some waterfalls near here, i couldnt because i had to work....:( My plan is to work here for a couple of months, save lots and travel around the rest of oz and nz not having to worry about working again! pah! Ive got a bit fo money so i might book scuba diving, in the gt barrier reef and white water rafting soon, maybe when sandy and alex go to bali....WITHOUT ME!!! :'(

.....but apart from the above, havent really been upto anything. Just lazing round at the lagoon, going for the very occasional run or gym sesh. Watched bruno last week..its erm different! Also been out a couple of nights with the canadians and gareth which has been fun. Sand has moved out with alex into a share house so they have some privacy, only costs them $80 a week, im paying $138!!!! to sleep in a s***e bed and hear bongos every night! Everything is bound to get better soon...i hope it does anyway. Not much planned here apart from my b-day and might be going for some vietnamese food in a new place which has opened up next to the hostel. Just work work work and looking for work work work im afraid.
