We booked the bus to Dalat for today. We could either book for 8am or 1pm so of course we booked for 1pm so we could have a lie in and take our time packing. It's awful having to pack in a dorm whilst everybody is sleeping. No one has mastered the skill of being quiet. We had heard that because Dalat is in the mountains, it would be cooler than at sea level so we were looking forward to a temperature that didn't cause us to sweat all the time. Who'd have though...

When we booked the hostel in Nha Trang, they emailed us asking if we had any special event coming up. You only get engaged once so I'm going to milk it. So I mentioned this to the hostel and they said they'd love to do something special for us. We checked out of our hotel at 12pm and headed to the train station. Unlike the last sleeper train we'd got, we booked one that had 4 bunks instead of 6 so we were able to sit up this time. We booked the bottom bunks as well as they tend to have more room. We also booked the day sleeper on purpose so we could watch out for bunks and then get a decent nights sleep once at the hostel in Nha Trang. Our last day in Danang was spent at the beach. We found some sun beds near a cocktail bar and just chilled out for a few hours. The beach was nice and quiet and it was lovely. It's not all dodgy train journeys and cheap hostels this backpacking lifestyle. We are off to Nha Trang tomorrow which is further down the coast. We've booked a train although this time we made sure we booked 1st class so fingers crossed it's an improvement from the last one.

It hit us today that we had nothing planned or booked for the day after tomorrow so we headed to a cafe that had wifi and did a little bit of research over a few drinks. We wanted to plan our way down Vietnam giving us enough time to see what we wanted.
