It hit us today that we had nothing planned or booked for the day after tomorrow so we headed to a cafe that had wifi and did a little bit of research over a few drinks. We wanted to plan our way down Vietnam giving us enough time to see what we wanted.
We headed to the train station and booked some tickets on the sleeper train to Nha Trang making sure to book a 1st class train during the day so that if we did encounter any bugs or mice then we could see them.
We met another English couple at the train station who were heading to a local supermarket to get some food for the train journey tomorrow so we did the same. It was an interesting experience, it was packed and there wasn't much of a queue system. We got some tea whilst we were there, noodle soup which is really good.
One of the bridges that crossed the river looks like a dragon and every Saturday and Sunday night it breathed fire so we went down to check it out. It was very busy by the riverside with tourists waiting to see the fire. The bridge was closed to traffic and then almost right on time the huge dragon breathes fire. We were some 100m from the bridge and still felt the heat from the fire.
That night, the locals were celebrating the full moon festival not in the same piss-up way as in Thailand but with music and dancing. Some dancers were dressed as dragons with 2 people to a costume. It was nice to watch.
