When we booked the hostel in Nha Trang, they emailed us asking if we had any special event coming up. You only get engaged once so I'm going to milk it. So I mentioned this to the hostel and they said they'd love to do something special for us.
After breakfast we were presented with a cake with piped icing saying "Mark and Rachel 23.09.15", 2 bracelets (mine has marks name on and he has my name) and a lovely card with a lovely paragraph inside that said:
"May your life together be filled with all the right ingredients: a heap of love, a dash of humour, a touch of romance and a spoonful of understanding. Congratulations to you both. Beautiful Rachel and handsome Mark."
So lovely of them!
After our little celebration we headed to an outdoor Eco resort that had some mud baths, waterfalls and swimming pools. The mud baths were awesome. We got a private one about the size of a large bath tub but filled with mud. We could float as well which was a really weird feeling, great for our skin though.
After the bath we sat under some waterfalls and in swimming pools, a lovely day.
At around 4pm we went for a nice walk along the beach. It had stared to go cooler so all the locals flocked to the beach to sit in the shade created by the hotels nearby. It's really weird how obsessed they are with not getting a tan whereas we go to the beach for that very reason. Even when riding their motorbikes some people wear wool gloves to stop the sun. Gloves in 35 degrees!!!
We went to a sports bar for a couple of drinks and they served Havana club rum! I have missed decent rum. We watched some rugby as well. You can tell I've been out the country a while as I didn't even know it was being hosted in England. Not that I like rugby to care :)
