We got up at 5.30am this morning as we had booked a taxi for 6.15am to take us to the airport. With Tom's faith in the Vietnamese now completely destroyed, he was convinced it wasn't going to turn up but at 6.20am (ten minutes late) it arrived complete with a driver who coughed, sneezed and blew his nose for the entire journey. Lovely!
We got to the airport really looking forward to heading back to Thailand, Rachael passed through passport control and had to wait ages for Tom as the guy behind the counter obviously took a disliking to him and insisted on scrutinising every page, spine, and cover of Tom's passport! We boarded the plane and by by chance ended up sat next to Nathan and Hannah a couple from our Halong Bay boat trip. The flight went really quickly and as we were all heading to the same area in Bangkok we travelled by local bus to the city together. It was felt great to be back somewhere familiar.
We checked into the same guest house we were in last last time and even managed to get the same room. Fairly tired from the early start, we had a few hours sleep and met up with Nathan and Hannah in the evening. After a few drinks Nathan suggested we go to "ping pong" show, We had heard plenty about these and fancied going but decided to have a few more drinks before we ventured in. I'll leave it up to your imagination as to what went on but you name it, they did it! It was a fun night.
