We got up this morning and headed to the Museum of Ethnology that the girls had recommended yesterday. Inside the building, it was full of collections of art and culture with explanations about the different Vietnamese tribes. In the grounds outside there were lots of different exhibitions on display as there was some kind of Vietnamese/Japanese festival taking place. There was dancing, people making paper designs, origami and lots of food to try. We wandered around taking it all in and Tom tried walking on stilts while Rachael got dressed up in a traditional Kimono.
For the last week or so we have found it quite difficult having to constantly battle with the locals about one thing or another and unfortunately our Halong Bay trip was not the experience we hoped it be. As we wandered around the museum today though, everyone was really friendly and we didn't feel like anyone was trying to get our money off us. It was a really fun day and a good end to our time in Vietnam.
As we had an early start in the morning ready for our flight back to Bangkok, we had our last meal in Vietnam washed down with a few cheep beers and headed for an early night.
