One adventure ends.. another one begins! This is my last blog from Khao Lak *tear*...

Tomorrow im off to meet Riksta in KL and fly onto Kota Kinabalu in borneo!

So whats been happening the last week. The short version:

Steph left for Phuket for 5 days so i said my goodbyes on the 3rd of Jan. Amazing girl. Lots of laughs... lots of adventures! It definately wasnt a goodbye. We both felt as though we would b seeing eachother again soon. Well we better as I have claimed her gianormous improvment speaking english on my inability to shut up! haha. Not sure if i have mentioned this story... diego loved to tell it. Well.. when i fiirst met steph she was walking down the street and we are both pretty friendly girls so we said hey and blah blah blah... next time we met in the street i invted her to dinner at wicked cafe for our DCT welcome dinner! So she came along and joined in... after around an 2 hrs she just got up and left... Now the way diego tells this story is that whenever me and steph were having a convo he noticed we were talked to eachother about completely different things.. Maybe its true we will never know. But steph had trouble in bars and at dinners with lots of people becuase when native english speakers get together we speak VERY fast.. and she had no hope understanding us! By the end of the 6 weeks she was partying at happy snapper and chatting away all night... even when she was completely pissed. Oh i have to add.. in the beginning the drunker she got the worse she got at speaking english... so there were nigts when we got to a point when all we could do was laugh and dance cause she was speaking french and i was speaking english and noone could understand each other! HAHAHAHAHA - IM GONNA MISS YOU SPASTIC STEPH!!!

On the 2nd I headed over to Diego's for dinner... wine, pasta, steph and rikki... lots of laughs. really nice to relax!

On the 3rd we had DM day which means Diego plays the Openwater student all day and we have to organise the entire trip out to boonsung wreck.. and take him diving! Trip went really well. I guided him the first dive and everthing was fine.. then the second ive frank and i buddied u and headed underwater to map the wreck! Quite a cool thing to do.. you bring slates and pencils underwater and a compass and draw it.. use kick cycles for scale and your depth gauge for the depths! turned out ok!

On the 4th was our DCT final exam.. to pass you need minimum 90%... i passed... 98% (NERD!!) Since we had been studying and working really hard all i felt like doing was having a beer and relaxing.. but maybe that was only me... the other 2 just wanted to sleep and what not. So i cracked a beer on my balcony... packed my bags (as i had to b out of my bungalow the next day) and skyped sjaney! Thanks sjano for the pick me up! Just the girl i wanted to talk to! Later that night we had our DM dinner at wicked cafe... then on to happy snapper. nice night.. not as crazy as i woulda liked! ahwell.

On the 5th i moved out of my bungalow.. as the new DCT's are already here. Its quite weird walking past there now and seeing someone on my balcony! I met the newbies.. they r really cool. 2 from begium, 1 from ireland, and 1 from UK! The rest of the day i stayed at khukak beach (20min motorbike drive away).. its a gorgeous beach.. and there was waves too! wish i had my surfboard! In the aternoon i popped over to wicked cafe and asked sarah f i could have some leftovers from the big dinner the other night.. even better i got lefftovers, red wine and fruit... thanks babe! Using the random left overs diego coooked up these burrito's with all the stuff i gt from sarah.. with a thick tomato sause! really good.. especially with red wine!! haha

On the 6th i headed to the beach again... popping back for lunch (my tun to cook). I cooked by famous red onion, tomato, cheese and sweetchilli wrap combo. Diego wasnt convinced! hes mexian.. WTF deos he know! ha back to the beach in the arvo having a few beers wathcing the sunset.. wishing i could spend a few more months here! That night we headed to Mars Bar to meet up with NINa and then on to happy snapper... Fran, Nina and I caused a ruckus had a ball! just the night i felt like... Sambuka.. tiger.. yeah baby!

So that brings me to today! Off to the beach for my last day.. Im writing this blog (which has turned out to b a lot longer than i imagined!) at one of my regular spots called stempfer cafe.. its a gerrman cafe with amazing coffee, home made bread, awesome greak salads, pastries, iced coffees and WIFI! Since my coffee has gotten cold im going to end it here.

But i leave tomorrow for KL. As you say in Thai... POP GUN MAI KA... see you soon... Ill be back here.. sooner than i think!
