Today arrived in khao lak to begin my 6 weeks of professional dive training! Khao lak is such a beautiful place.. It's kinda like the Byron bay of thailand. It's relaxed, beachy, green, small, and everyone here has one thing in common; DIVING! A few hrs off the coast of khao lak is one of the
Worlds top ten dive sites in the world; the SIMILIAN ISLANDS!!! Last time I was in Thailand I did a live-a-board here with Siobhan and had the most amazing time! Best diving yet!

During the 2hr taxi trip from patong to khao lak I made use of the driver and brushed up on my Thai! He taught me a few new things.. Be = year, duan = month, (can't remember week), gai yung = BBQ chicken, mai now = no way!!! Thanks heaps taxi man!

So once I arrived I checked in at wicked and met both some new and familiar faces!! Rikki (spelt the same as my rikki) and aoy are the familiar ones... And I also met a guy Rick who seems really nice and also seems quite important.. He offered me a job with wicked after only 15 minutes chatting!! Pitty I'm not hanging around after my course! Anyway he says that's the offer stands :)

Now it was time to check out my new pad that I'll be calling home for the next six weeks!!! Summary: AMAZING! The bungalow Is a short work off the main road, surrounded by tropical rainforest ! It has a Lil balcony with 2 seats and a table, a double bed, a fridge, big bathroom with HOT water, a rack with coat-hangers to hand up all my clothes, a fan and louvers!!! So stocked! Straight away I unpacked my bag, hung up my Clothes and made the place my own... It's perfect!

Off to the beach for the afternoon.. I managed to get a Lil pink, finish My book (life of pi) before huge black clouds swept over banishing me to a familiar Thai cafe where I ate lunch and met a German called oooaye... I think his name is weird as much as he thinks my name is haha! Cool guy.. He is around for a few days and will definitely catch up for a beer!

Back to my Lil abode for a shower and a relax awaiting my first official meeting without the dive crew at 7pm! Wish me luck!!!
