After spending a pointless night in Cebu (ugly city.. However I made the most of it with 2 massages, my first visit to jollibee and a worthwhile trip to the bookstore)... I was off via a mini plane to boracay; a small island infamous for it's wild partying and gorgeous beaches! To be honest I have been let down with some of the beaches in the philippines having being told how amazing they were and 'this beach' is the new boracay blah blah and when I get there in some cases I wouldnt even set foot on the beach!!! So to be honest my expectations of boracay were mild and weren't too high as all.

So after my arrival into caticlan (mainland).. Caught a boat to boracay and then a tricycle to Frendz where I'll be staying the next 5 nights... Ready for a beer i walk into reception To find Katie my friend from Malaysia I had met in lavender lodge a few moths prior walking out.. Yeow! So straight to the beach we walk (2 mins) and it literally took my breath away.. I was completely stunned, speachless and excited! Boracay's white beach blew my mind and all my non existent expectations out of the water. Words can't describe.. Keep a look out for the pics!
So I meet katies friends megaN And Jenny and soon enough we r on the beers...then g&t's...followed my dinner @ o'le (Mexican).. Then Jenny and I headed out to show me what boracays night life has to offer (katie was diving next morning early)... Ok let me try and describe. Its busy like bangla rd, patong - but no sex tourism or hassling thai's everywhere... it's got it's classy side like Herron island with fancy resorts, and the high standard of cleanliness, it got a great backpacker scene- could be described as a gold coast schoolies vibe.. the sand is like flour, no shoes were worn the entire time.. It's more expensive than anywhere else in the Philippines - comparable to Malaysia! Live bands, beach parties, fire twirlers, unlimited choice off restaurants, better choice of daytime activities than Phuket.. Pretty much heaven!!!

the days were spent on the beach, swimming, reading and generally getting over hangovers with the help of mango shakes and fresh orange juice and even a sneaky pesto pizza :)

The nights were wild.

Summary of night 1:
Jenny and me.. Started with beers, progressed to g&t's at the live band bar on the beach... Followed by lady boy firetwirling.. Still on the g&t's (free pour of course).. With 2 of the show boys we moved on the the next bar.. Sambuca.. Sambuca.. Dance offs with new friends.. Spew.. Jenny got gang robbed!!!

Summary night 2:
Dinner with katie at the Mongolian BBQ - the lake... Amazing local dancing and shows then went to the bar with 2 Guys playing live.. Chilled out.. Great chats!

Summary night 3:
J arrived in the afternoon and i found him at nigi nigi's watching the royal wedding with polly and John (2 new friends).. From there it was Mongolian BBQ.. Then firetwirling, sheesha, beers, redbull.. Fell in love with 'black beauty' - the hottest lady boy I have ever seen! Dancing on stage.. Jenny got with a hot fire twirler.. Onto summer place for crazy dancing.. Then epic.. Sunrise... Swim..Fish burger with Jenny and her boy at 6:30am...

Summary night 4:
Went to see the body building... Ate an amazing buffet overlooking the Sunset.. Fire twirling, sheesha, summer place, epic.. Dragon boat racers.. 3 aussie ladies..Sunrise.. Dorm room antics with camera and a snoring naked Laura.. Sleepover for j and Polly... Katie fell in love :)...

Summary night 5:
Sad farewell to all my boracay friends! Amazing pre dinner and drinks with the girls.. Then Indian with the gang!
I had the most amazing week!

Boracay is soooo Amazing!!

Last blog! *tear *tear... What an experience I have had.. So many adventures.. Stories.. New friends.. I'll be back :)
