Up early to leave sorsogon bound for rizal beach which is said to be amazing! Sorsogon to gubat via jeepney then tricycle to rizal beach. Hmmm not too amazing. Wouldn't swim there nor lie on the beach. So I think that sums it up. Anyway we checked in for a night and made the most of the afternoon by meeting a family of candian/Filipino who were there on holidays. So we banded together in a van to visit bulusun lake. This lake is an the base of bulusan vocano which is currently active! Gorgeous big lake with the facilities to kayak or hire a guide to so an easy walk. But instead of those options Lena, alex and I opted for a photoshoot around the lake as Well as ontop of a jeepney! Lots of laughs by us and the locals watching on! Ha
Back in the van.. Next stop private property cold water springs!! Meg (the mum of the group we were with) was
Related to a Spanish/Filipino lady who lived in this insanely stunning
Antique house in which she landscaped and fitted with gorgeous old interesting wooden Doors and windows... Wow what a insiders secret! Anyway the reason we went here was because these springs we behind her house!!! Lena wanted to live there, Alex wanted to stay and take breathtaking pictures of all the intricate bits to the house.. And I just wanted to a) show mum and Shane and b) take the doors home!!! She was an artist who sells all over France and italy - which explains her quirky extraverted nature.. Anyway so
Into the springs we went... Wow it was just as breathtaking as her house!! We jumped in made the most of the waterfalls and bubbles!!
Next stop sulfuric springs (as Meg should say... It's like soda water.. Take some back to put in your gin! Ha!) anyway it was incredibly bubbly and bizzar.. Well Worth it...
Back to rizal beach we head, saying our goodbyes to our tourguides and taking with us some unforgettable memories! Quick showers and into gubat for lenas birthday dinner celebrations (ps no places to eat on rizal beach!!. Yummy dinner, great company! The waiters were a highlight.. Oh and the cheese on lenas banana split! Haha. After dinner it's back to the beach with tanduay rhum and cola in tow to continue the night and countdown to the big 3-0!! Honorable mentions: climbing coconut trees, cartwheels, clubbing canetoads, eating by sandflys, bugs in drink..
Next day we headed to the hot
Springs with a picnic lunch and spent the day relaxing... Quite an
Effort to get there but the countryside is really pleasant to look at!
Back to lagaspi for me this afternoon. Sad goodbyes. Happy birthday lena!
Bring on Bohol!
