It's the end of my first working week. I ended up recruiting like 4 lads for this work, shame I don't get extra money for my out of hours commitment haha but there all canny lads so it's good crack at work.

There's a Scottish guy called andy who's the plumber and his mate, typical kind of Australian called deano. There's James and Tom who are both nice lads who I met in the hostel, Matt Donovan and smithy who just became my room mate.

First day woke up at 6.15 and got there for 7am nice and early, and after 5 minutes of introductions it was time to get the jackhammers out and smash the hell out of concrete for two days, bloody hard work mind, had to use the jackhammer to separate the slabs then use a big steel stick thing to get them out the ground and if they wernt too heavy for two people to lift then use the hammer again to break it up but the concrete was bound by steel Which made it a nightmare. On wednesday we started work on the other room and started ripping and tearing down walls, was a lot of fun. Then Thursday and Friday back to the car park where we had to dig for so long, made even harder we needed the jackhammer again to break the rocks down to shovel them out. After all that it was Friday night and kates bday night out and a guy called daves leaving doo. Got on the goon and played a load of drinking games, including ring of fire and on the bus, combine that with how tired me and Matt Donovan were from work made the night much more difficult but I powered through it. Won't go into detail but it was a messy night to say the least. Yesterday was a horrible hangover and the weather has been s***e this weekend, had to be when I was off work eh.
