I woke up once in the night slightly chilly and busting for a leak, so I crawled out of my mozzy net and took a slightly rainy walk to the toilet hut where on the way I could hear a pack of dogs going crazy and scrapping the hell out of each other, got back to bed and crashed out with an extra blanket, when I woke properly breakfast was almost ready, scrambled eggs from the villages chickens and our guide Deetoo brought a laugh of bread with him so toasted that, also managed to have a coffee which perked me up! Once everyone was packed and ready we set off on our downhill trek which wasn't as bad as we thought it would be, it was quite slippy due to a bit of rain the night before but nothing too bad, after a little while walking we came to this big waterfall which looked incredible and was stupidly powerful, the sound of it was immense, where it was crashing we were allowed to swim to cool off, so naturally Jed and I jumped straight in and it was so refreshing! Took a photo or two then dried off to continue with our trek, we were nearing the end when one of the people with us put his foot ankle deep in mud and when he pulled it out he was shoeless... Poor guy had to reach in wrist deep and pull out his shoe, scrap the mud out and then put it back on, felt sorry for him, but the same time was pretty funny...
We eventually reached the white water rafting where we had a crash course and hopped into our raft, the water was pretty strong and fast due to the season and the fact we had a bit of rain recently which made it all the more fun! At one point we got stuck against some rocks for about 5 minutes which doesn't sound like much but when you're paddling with all you have to get free it feels like forever! We rafted for about 30 mins before we cruised to a little stop off for lunch and then headed back to the city, once we arrived had warm showers and took our super dirty clothes to the laundry to get them clean, we then went next door for an hour long full body Thai massage, defiantly deserved it after 3 days of trekking and it was incredible, first one of the trip, defiantly not the last! We had a bite to eat shortly after and went to check out the night bizarre which is a road and alleys packed with little carts and merchants , traders etc, it looked amazing and you literally just haggle everything, so much fun, bought a few little things after much bartering and then sat down with a beer and listened to some live music, decided to call it a night and head back but when we were almost home we passed Kish who had moved guesthouse to the same road as us without realising, Ash came down shortly after and after a bit of convincing they got us out for a drink (mugharita) and we played cards to about midnight, I then FaceTimed mama and crashed out for the night, another cracking day and some well deserved sleep was had!
