Today has been a good day, we went to the tour company for about 9am where we met 2 Canadian girls who were both pretty cool, then after a short tuk tuk ride we kayaked to a village where we visited elephant cave which is a fairly sacred place with a big Buddha statue in it, we then went a little further and had a swim in a stream to cool off, shortly after we hopped in some tubes and went caving in this huge cave with head torches on, it was really cool and some...

We got on the mini bus in Vientiane at around 10am and we were in Vangvieng at around 2pm, we were first people on and has to do a round trip collecting everyone else! Anyway we arrived in Vangvieng and was greeted at the bus stop by our guesthouse owner who walked us to our new pad, it's basic but nice, we then set out and found a little local place and demolished a Thai Red Curry, so good. Another pretty chilled day today, managed to get a few chapters of GOT read chilling in the shade of a tree in the park, when evening came we ventured to our dubbed local pub where they held a beer drinking contest every Wednesday, the name of the game was to drink a litre of beer as fast as you can through a straw, no easy task! We felt confident being Guerns, however... A mountain from Finland was one of our opponents, 6ft4 and big, he powered through about 90%...

We went for another walk around the town today to see if we could find anything new, we came across a park at the riverside with a huge statue of a guy saluting, got a few decent photos! It got super warm come late morning so we found some shade under a tree and I started reading the next GOT book, we then went in search of the water park on our map, after a little while looking we asked a local and he told us it had been torn down... After breakfast we headed to the Thai Embassy to sort out our visas for when we arrived back in Thailand, we did it through and agent, so our 60 day tourist visas should be ready tomorrow!
