We got on the mini bus in Vientiane at around 10am and we were in Vangvieng at around 2pm, we were first people on and has to do a round trip collecting everyone else! Anyway we arrived in Vangvieng and was greeted at the bus stop by our guesthouse owner who walked us to our new pad, it's basic but nice, we then set out and found a little local place and demolished a Thai Red Curry, so good. We then found Riverside tours which was suggested by someone we met in Vientiane, we booked in on a full day kayaking down the river with caving via an inner tube and lunch included for about £10, cannot complain! On arrival we also got a voucher for a free drink from Gary's Irish Bar, so we ventured there and didn't really end up leaving till late, we had a few beers and played pool and cards with Ash and Kish who were two guy we met on the minibus travelling here, we then started a big killer game where about 18 people played, the atmosphere was amazing and everyone was chatting and having a good laugh in general, it came to about 11pm and we had a 9am start the next day so we bought this axing sandwich to end our night, chicken, bacon, cheese, with salad mayo and chilli sauce, safe to say, it's was amazing! Then we crashed out and set out alarms for what was gonna be a less than pleasant wake up!
