Another pretty chilled day today, managed to get a few chapters of GOT read chilling in the shade of a tree in the park, when evening came we ventured to our dubbed local pub where they held a beer drinking contest every Wednesday, the name of the game was to drink a litre of beer as fast as you can through a straw, no easy task! We felt confident being Guerns, however... A mountain from Finland was one of our opponents, 6ft4 and big, he powered through about 90%...

We went for another walk around the town today to see if we could find anything new, we came across a park at the riverside with a huge statue of a guy saluting, got a few decent photos! It got super warm come late morning so we found some shade under a tree and I started reading the next GOT book, we then went in search of the water park on our map, after a little while looking we asked a local and he told us it had been torn down... Brilliant haha, we went back...

After breakfast we headed to the Thai Embassy to sort out our visas for when we arrived back in Thailand, we did it through and agent, so our 60 day tourist visas should be ready tomorrow! After that fiasco was dealt with we decided we needed a beer, for some reason we decided to buy a tower (3litres) and chug through that whilst having lunch, I think it was a mixture of beer, sun and lack of sleep but I was absolutely shattered and had a nap, when I awoke we dec...

We arrived early! The one time I wanted to arrive late and our bus driver must haves floored it... Ah well, we got into Vientiane around 7am after a less than cozy nights sleep, we hopped in a tuk tuk and got to our new place at around 8am after waiting around for the tuk tuk to fill up, we managed to check in early and then go for a wander around the capital, it's quite nice here, a lot better than Pakze, we found a park were we just chilled out for a few hours ...
